Hello out there! I started this little blog project mostly in an effort to motivate myself to get things done around the house. I figured since I love reading other DIY and decorating blogs, why not put my trials and tribulations out there so you can learn from MY mistakes, and hopefully a few successes too!
First things first, I am a twenty-something (ginger) accountant, but honestly, doing taxes isn't something I look forward to (weird huh?). I have loved cooking and baking forever, and have recently found a passion for DIY and making things pretty. I bought a house about 2 years ago with my now husband. During year 1 of homeownership, we were waist deep in wedding planning, so our house stayed pretty bare - minus the 'wedding room' which housed my hoard of wedding goodies. Now that we're in year 2 (and the post-wedding depression has run its course), it is time to make this place look lived-in... and I don't mean the messes in every room!
Because I love my little family, here's an introduction to them too. Here's the hubby (Kurt) and our ginger dog, Hadley. We rescued her at the beginning of the year, and she's a whole other story, that dog. The man obviously has a thing for strawberry blondes...
And here's Cooper, the smallest (craziest) member of our household. He loves toilet paper and beer. And yes, that's Food Network in the background, another not-so-secret obsession of mine.
I guess that's it for post numero uno. I can't wait to get into some of the really fun stuff!
